The Once-in-a-Lifetime ABG /EABG purchase.

Customize any way you want. Great sound plugged in. VERY quiet unplugged as it is only "semi" hollow.

Thanks. Unfortunately this is not what I'm looking for. I want a 'traditional' looking bass - f hole archtop or acoustic jumbo style and unlined fretless. This bass looks too much like an EBG for what I want. Thanks for the input, anyway.

The Furch acoustic bass has a real voice unplugged , is as loud as can be ...My favorite ABG (after TaylorAb1 & AB2, Tacoma,Stoll ,Maurice Dupont....).

Hello.

I put quite a lot of time into trying to obtain a Furch fretless. It was not an easy task and, still, I've not seen one. I was promised that the end of November would see them at my dealer (in UK) but still no word ... In the meantime I bought a Takamine TB 10 and a Takamine PB5 ANS, so I wont buy a Furch now!

I know it’s an older thread. But, here is my perception of the top of the line ABG out there.

I guess this is what they sound like. Pretty nice.

This is even more hip. I like this cat.

Here’s another one. Very cool.

My B10 has a strap button on the heel but it's not in the traditional location; it's on the back of the heel. I'm always seated when playing, but I think one would need those strap locking things, as the depth of the bass would tend to pull the strap off the button.
The bridge is not adjustable for string height, but I imagine you could file the string slots a bit if a lower string height was desired.
Regarding FB radius, I think I posted a pic somewhere in this thread.
I just found this thread. The TB10 has no strap pegs. I recently lowered the string height on mine by having a luthier shave the bottom of the bridge saddle which is a relatively easy job for a skilled tech. I'm told that Takamine designed the bridge with this mod in mind.
