2005 Musicman Stingray natural, 4 string, 3 band eq. The body was a single piece of ash. I’ve owned numerous other 4 string Stingrays, but none of them sounded as good. Nothing beats a good piece of ash!

We all have the story of Basses we should not have traded, or sold, but which one do you miss the most? I let a 1974 White with Black binding and hardware, Rickenbacker 4001 get away. Stupid.
Early in my bass playing I had one bass and got the crazy idea I needed a 4-string - no a 5-string - no a 4-string - wait, a 5-string... I should have just saved up for one of each, but in the process I sold a Carvin LB70F, which is my biggest bass regret. We all have the story of Basses we should not have traded, or sold, but which one do you miss the most? I remember test driving those in my college yrs thought they sounded/played like magic! Never owned one though. Great post.My black Kubicki ExFactor. Think it was an 86 model. I bought it new and used it for years on the road and did a lot of sessions when I was making my living with music. Played it in a lot of places where TB people said “you can only have a P there”. It was so versatile and played like magic.
I saved my money to put myself through school when touring got old, full-on “Triple Lindy” style. But tuition increases…. I sold that bass for a full semester of classes and books. My self-supported engineering degree is cool but not as cool as that bass

I traded a Black '05 Stingray, and worse, a Burgundy 30 th Anniversary, if I remember correctly, Stingray neck through.2005 Musicman Stingray natural, 4 string, 3 band eq. I think that's a good bass. Japan made right? Those are really cool. This is silly, but for me it's my first bass, an 80s Aria Pro II RSB in plain old white -

Literally nothing special about it, other than it was my first bass. I still wish I had never gotten rid of it.
New Rick prices are outrageous! MIJ Fenders in good shape are like $1200.00?An '86 white Steinberger XL-2. I enjoyed playing it, especially live... but, when I see what the asking prices are today, compared to what I sold it for, I usually end up calling my support group.
Your right! Hence this thread.I feel like none of these "got away". Rather, you people sold them like a bad parent sells their child. I don't know how you face yourselves in a mirror.
