The P Bass

There's no reason an active bass should lack any of the tone or character of a passive. A well designed on-board preamp set flat should sound sound identical to a passive. If you've got active/passive switching you can test this - or just switch to passive when you don't need the EQ.

There's no harm in having options.

The only problem I see with it is that the Slandered p bass doesn't have active pickups.
