I didn't but spoke to the seller a few times. Reserve on that one was 3500! I'd rather get a flamed maple one than a painted one, but not at twice the price. If I have to pay that much for one I'll get a pentabuzz instead.
Like this one here. I have no idea if the prices on ebay are too high, too low, just right, or what...

Hard to say on the eBay price as we don't know the year of that baby. Can't see serial # either. Nice looker though.
If it's of any help price wise, I just picked up an '06 Thunderbuzz 6 with the polyester FB treatment, Cocabola top at G.C. for $2500.00. Of course I had to tack on $175 in sales tax so $2,675.00 when all's said and done. Pedulla hard case too.

They list for $4800-5200. It's basically the same process for tints or clear and the grade of wood and choice of hardware color and number of strings dictates the difference in price. I was really, really blessed to get my PentaBuzz from a little shop that never had anyone come in looking for a Fretless bass and he courted me for about 3 months to buy it at a lower and lower price until he told me to take it home and make payments. End of story. Wanted it so bad, but was paying 50% take home in child support and was scratching to come up with the price of a replacement neck for my MIJ Jazz Fretless. Mines a '99 and I honestly thought it was brand new just like ones I'd played in Guitar Center a zillion times , until the manager asked me to buy a set of strings for the one they had there for a while. THAT WAS A GIFT FROM GOD! Amen. Had it for almost 10 years. Played the snot out of in all the time, ALL THE TIME. Ready for a refinish of the fingerboard. Going in the week for that and a color change to Midnight Arctic because that's what I've always wanted. Oh yeah, and black hardware. $1300. A gift. I'm throwing a grand into her and she's worth it.

I cannot think of another bass I'd rather have as #1. I just got a ThunderBass 6 and love it but GAS for an MVP6. Yeah.

OK - first impressions: I love the E-A-D-G-C tuning. It feels far more familiar to me than having a low B.

I'm having a lot more fun with this new tuning. I won't know for sure until I try it in an ensemble setting, but as of now, it looks like I will keep it strung this way.

They have worked with me on price in that past. It is a bass that will probably sit with them for a long time so there may be some motivation.
That's how I got my first 5 string Thunderbass....not through these guys but a local shop had it used for $1800.00 I waited and watched it come down to 16, the 12 then 2 years later $800 so I grabbed it.

One of my first basses twenty some years ago was a Pedulla Buzz. It was the only bass I owned at the time. That sound became my fretless standard to the point that I haven't been satisfied with any other fretless since.

When Baird6869 put his up for sale, I realized that the time had come. It's good to be back in the family.

The bass is very light and resonant and very good condition for a twenty year old bass.

I do have a question about the preamp though. It's a Bartolini EZQ. While I understand the concept, it just doesn't seem like enough useable variations in the mids. I'd like to replace it with something a little more conventional. I was thinking maybe either a Bartolini NTMB or an Aguilar OBP-3.

Any comments or recommendations?
