suggest picking up a spare now... spoke with Christine this afternoon... as soon as the word got out, owners started to buy spare truss rod wrenches ASAP....

I always thought that getting my Pedulla was a stroke of good luck. Now I know blessed is a better adjective!
He made it as far as 9953 at least. That one is a killer Pantabuzz in Vintage Cherry burst on the Available Basses page.
I’m truly saddened by this news. I’ve been hoping to order an MVP 6 for years. 
Good for Mike and Christine. They deserve the downtime — They’ve earned it.
I wonder if they tried or considered selling the business. I would imagine the brand would be worth something. I know that’s a slippery slope but if you find a buyer you trust to maintain the quality and preserve the legacy, it could be worth it.

Just placed an order for a Owners Kit. I have been putting off getting a truss rod wrench for years. I figured I better get on that.
He might not need another bass for the rest of his career. He's got some gorgous ones.
So sad on one hand to see a top notch builder close his doors. But very happy for Mike to have choices in life and being able to excercise them. I'll cherish my Pentabuzz even more now that there's a limited number of them on the planet.

Yep. No more new Pedullas anymore and no more new MVP6's as well. Furtunately I got one many years ago and this bass is not for sale, sir.
That is an excellent point and you're correct. One of my side thoughts was regarding royalties for his signature ME models. He won't receive that income anymore.
Did you make it "under the wire" to have your fingerboard refinished? I got my ThunderBuzz done just in time, but was too slow / poor for the HexaBuzz - which isn't so bad yet anyway...
Cases:
Just got my gig bag and some brass parts from Pedulla. (Curiously, the AMB bridge is more orange/gold than the machine heads which are yellow/gold.) Pedulla appears to be sold out of cases, so FYI the case I received is a Reunion Blues RBCB4 Continental Voyager Electric Bass Guitar Case (fits 4 string Buzz. Probably would fit any Pedulla). Would it help anyone to see a picture of my Buzz in the bag? The inside appears to be stock (except for Pedulla logo).. inside pads do not appear to be custom fit). There is room for a bigger body so probably would hold any Pedulla bass. The pad that cradles the neck around the 5th fret is a perfect fit, so not sure how that would fit a 5 or 6 string. Reunion Blues does not seem to have specific cases for 4, 5, 6 strings.
If you're interested in a used Buzz old logo hard case let me know, I'll be selling mine in June on ebay because it was smelling of mildew when I received it! Not too bad/not enough to trash it, but not great, you know?
