The body and the mid/cut switch and the setup of the knobs is Rapture all the way. I am thinking that the name of this new bass will be something like "Rapture ABC" or "Rapture XYZ" or "Rapture 2009", like some of the names in the past. For example, this could be a "Rapture NWT" for "Natural Wood Top" (NWT).
My new dream bass. I just love spalted maple. Some day I hope to add this to my black'n'maple Rapture and a future Rapture fretless. That should complete the quiver nicely.
Hey! Here's a few pics of my new(to me!)Pentabuzz in action! I must say, this is my 1st fretless bass and I've only had it for a couple of days(I received it Friday and I had to bust it out Friday nite! 
!), it was AWESOME! Now, I would NEVER say that playing fretless is easy(it's not!) or that I'm a natural(I'm not!), but it was a BLAST to play and I was mostly in tune(thank God for the lines! 
!). After I get it back from Pedulla(changing the hardware to black!), I'll be spending most of my time 'shedding with this baby! I think I may need an MVP 5 now...What to get rid of tho? The MTD or the Roscoe? Curse you Michael Pedulla for building such an INCREDIBLE instrument! !

Hey bimplizkit- Not really. I'm not sure if it's because I have "long" arms or what, I've never really had a problem switching scale lengths. Actually, my Roscoe is a 34", The original owner custom ordered it. My MTD is a 35" and I switch back and forth all the time with no issues! Honestly, to me, it's not really an issue...fortunately!

I've looked through most of the pictures and am yet to see a 4 string Rapture with double Jazz pups. Anyone have one?
no i don't believe so...the really expensive ones are the "Custom Creations." I think these will be a different model. they may not all come with such gorgeous finishes though...i'm not sure.

Those new styles look amazing. I only have one small complaint though. I am not a fan of using the black plastic battery & control compartment covers. My Thunderbass looks fantastic to me, the wood grain is conserved even though the cover is there. I don't have one, but the same is true for the F Basses & MTD basses. If it can be true for the Thunderbass & MVP series, why not also for the Rapture series also? It just seems to break up the natural wood patterns - my opinion ONLY.
I can't wait to have enough spare cash to order a Fretless Thunderbass or Pentabuzz. Mmmmmm.

Beautiful collections here guys. I'm in the process of moving around some gear to buy a pentabuzz. I would love to be the next member of this club. Not that I don't already know, but further posts of people going on and on about how incredible they are might help relieve the GAS for now. (or make it much much worse)
I'm not sure if this new "Rapture" config will have a battery compartment, but the existing ones do because the electronics are only accessed thru the pickguard, not the back. It kinda needs it, otherwise you'll be loosening strings and removing the pickguard every time just to change a battery.
Oh, by the way, we DON'T want to get THAT discussion going again. Read earlier in this thread, and you'll understand. We practically had to 12-steps our way out of it.
there is a picture of the back of the new rapture design on the myspace...looks like it has the battery compartment and the plastic cover (like on the thunderbolt). although i'm not sure thats the final design...
