The Pedulla Club!

Too bad the Pedulla does not have a forum for stuff like this.

Relating to my earlier posts I have adjusted the saddle heights a bit and will see how that turns out. I had contacted Pedulla as people suggested. One thing they mentioned to me was that they were not familiar with DRs and to use Pedulla strings :-)

I have tried DR Highbeams to about everything and always come back to them. I am not sure who makes Pedulla's strings - but can anyone compare them to the DRs. I like a bright tone but also need a string that last long like the DRs do.

I personally love Pedulla strings...I can't remember how makes them though. I'm sure someone here knows. One thing to consider with the DRs is that you have to make sure you bend the string before you cut it. I heard that if you don't do that it can make strange things happen.

Pretty sure they're custom D'Addarios. Mike told me to use tapered windings, like his for better intonation and resonance..

Well - after all the talk I put on this thread - the least I could do is join! :-)

These pictures are from the Ebay add. I have not shot my own yet. When I get some decent gig ones I will post them.

It is actually more brown than the red look the pics give. More like the zebra you see on the Pedulla site.

Do I get a number?

Yeah, I'd love a number, thanks! I'm new here, and forgot to ask for that specifically. :)

As for the strings, yep, they're DRs, which are my new favorite strings. Those are black ones on the amber TB4, and "peacock blue" strings on the "peacock blue" TB6. Couldn't be happier with the tone, feel or look.

Welcome!

No other maker causes my stomach knot up with longing like Pedulla does. I grew up in MA and my dad was a blues and rock fiend, which went a long way towards leading me to music. We'd take any opportunity to see live music and all the best players kicking around MA in the early 90's seemed to have those same funny looking basses... They left quite an impression on me!

I think a PJ MVP 4 or 5 string would be as close to heaven as I could expect to get on this earth.
