The Perfect Burger

http://youtube.com/watch?v=hVTcAkfuRFw

CAUTION: Your mouth will water after watching.

Krazy Jim's Blimpy Burger of Ann Arbor, MI. I use to live in MI and only have been to this joint once, but they are the BEST burgers & onion rings I have EVER had. Trust me...

Mmmm. mmmmm. mmmmm.

So how long does it take to get there from Chicago (where I'll be next year)?

This one small diner makes the best hamburgers. I have a 1/2 pound patty, crunchy on outside, soft and pink in middle. Smothered with the best fried onions I have ever had, lettuce (green), cheddar cheese, spread of ketchup and Dijon mustard on buns, and tomato.

That's quite a bit of distance from Chicago to Ann Arbor, but I looked on Mapquest and the directions are super simple, and only 4 hours (could leave at 2pm and arrive in time for dinner :D). You'd just take I-90 east to I-94 east and ride that out for 200 miles. I'd say it's worth it for a burger like this, you wouldn't regret it one bit.

Directions here.

Thanks man.

Well I'm not yet, but will be. I'm quite aware of the excellent cuisine in Chicago and even Evanston has great food (where I'll be studying). So, where's your favorite burger in Chicago?

Quite honestly, my favorite burger in Chicago is White Castle which you can get in any east coast/midwestern city.

When I lived in Chicago, I was too busy enjoying the world's best pizza, Italian beefs, Chicago style hotdogs, breaded steak sandwiches, and all kinds of fast food loveliness. But not too many burgers to be honest.

For me, the perfect burger is from Five Guys out here in DC.

2 hand formed, all beef, non-frozen patties.
Ketchup
Mustard
Lettuce
Pickle
Tomato

Add a side of Cajun fries, and a coke to wash it down with and I'm set for the day.
