This all day long. TI Superalloys are close. Not quite the same, but close.

Nope.

I'm still on the hunt for "my" string. It's like "string-pokemon" you know... gotta try 'em all. And I've tried so many. From budget brands to boutique brands, no-names to big names, steel, nickel, round, flat, pressurewound, coated, uncoated...

And all I know is that I greatly dislike the feel of coated strings and that flatwounds really aren't my jam.

Best strings I've tried were Fodera strings, but though they were "the best," I didn't quite get that visceral "ohhh yeeeaaaahhh, THIS is the one!" gut feeling from them. Plus, they've become way too expensive for me to afford, so I'm searching elsewhere.

It's kinda like this one time when I got to play a fellow's Fodera... it was undoubtedly one of the best (if not THE best) bass I'd ever laid my hands on, but I didn't experience that "magical moment" where I felt like I absolutely had to own one and felt stronger affection for the "lesser" bass I had at home. That Fodera was perfect, but was not right for me, if that makes any sense.

Also, sometimes it's the bass that chooses the strings. I'm still searching for that match for my main bass that gives me that total "OH YEAH!!!! That's the one!" feeling.
