Yes you can use them like headphones. The jack you are plugging them into should be enough to drive them. In order to use them as in ear monitors, and hear the mix, you would need a monitor mixer.

We also use in ear monitors live and I think the Pod is great for that.

May seem lame but skimming through the manual saw zip - didn't really expect to see it actually. Is there a metronome in the pod - or maybe a way to painlessly create one just using the pod and an amp?

I know you can set delay speeds and all that but I just want a metronome playback. From what I can gather the pod doesn't put out a sound unless you put one in but maybe worked around with something with an infinite sustain that I could pluck once and play something else too.

Is that supposed to be related to the above post or just a comment?

If it's related to the above post - I don't want to edit patches, I want a metronome/click track and thought I may be able to finagle it out of the pod. Nothing to do with recording/editing.

I had a gig last night and used the PodXT as a pre through a Carvin 1800 power amp. I used the Mesa Boogie and Eden WT300 amp models and it was great.:D

I have several other channels set up to try next time, but I could not be happier. Pretty easy to load in and out too with the carrying cases. Now I just need a Neo cabinet and I am set.:cool:

Hello,
I'm having some problems with my BodXTpro's fxloop. Does anybody here run an external multifx processor through it? I do this, but setting the fxloop on series, I still hear the unprocessed signal + the processed one, as if it was working on parallel mode. Can't explain why...

I am using two Peavey 1516 cabinets for now, but I am going to replace them soon with Dr. Bass. I do not use the cabinet emulation. There are occasions when we don't use any stage gear and use in-ear monitors. For the most part, I still don't use the cab emulation with the exception of the Ampeg B15 setting which does sound better for me with the boutique 12. The Tube Preamp setting is also pretty nice.

FWIW:

guess you've got an answer by now but according to the manual it says you use the mix on the effect to determine how much of the effect signal you want. Off would = 0, half way = 50/50, max = all effect no pod.

I have an XT. I am a bit perplexed how to use Line 6 edit. Anyone know of tutorial? I need to know how to store sounds on my computer not the pod...
Also are there more websites with useable patches.. I find the ones on Line 6 very repetitive and many are too space effecty.
Does anyone here trade patches?

FWIW:

haven't messed with the editor beyond downloading it. But I can use the sound recorder that came with my laptop to record pod clips. I just plug into the USB port, pull up the recorder, punch record, and play.

Not sure how worthwhile patch swapping is beyond a starting point. They can sound totally different through different setups. I sent moogboy one and it wouldn't even track through his rig - but he said it worked real well used with a different synth patch.

Have you downloaded the software to your computer yet? Once you do that, you simply connect the Pod to your computer via the USB cable, turn on the Pod, then open the Line 6 Edit program. It should recognize you Pod.

Once it opens, your settings will be on the right side of the screen. You can store downloaded settings and your settings on the left side of the screen.

I find it much easier to adjust the settings with the Edit software since everything is right in front of you.

I am looking to tweak (as always) and was wondering if I'm using my POD into my Hartke 3500, should I turn the amp volume to max (10) and use the POD to control the volume? All the amp settings would basically be "flat" and the sound would be controlled by the POD. Any advice would be appreciated!
