Off to The Rocking Worship Roadshow. Super excited as this is a great experience for my little family. Playing Sunday too so all is well.

Could I join the Club?
Still, I have to admit that my fundraising experience didn't reveal clear patterns to support that position. Churches with the most dynamic growth were sometimes quite stingy, whereas some of our most fruitful givers were small churches that could barely keep their doors open.
Studies have frequently noted that poor people give a higher percentage of their income to charities than rich people. Perhaps it is true of many churches, as well. Jesus' comment about the difficulty for rich people to enter the kingdom of heaven was counter-cultural then as well as now. If we are truly following him, we'll need to be aware of this tendency, and actively resisting the normal flow of human nature. By the standards of the 1st Century, every one of us is unbelievably wealthy.

Hello everyone. I am just returning to this group after having been out for nearly 3 years. went to rehearsal at my new church last night and I get to play on Sunday. I have missed it.
Wow, that's quite a break - welcome back! Were you without a 'gig' all that time?
Yes it was a long break. I had a regular band for a little while, but that fell apart. Then I had a pretty major life upheaval to deal and I was not playing much during that time.
Glad to be getting back into playing. I am joining a band that just started a little less than a year ago. They already have a bass player, but welcomed me anyways so we can both have a week off from time to time.

I would think it would not be a problem to have both earbuds in. If they want more ambient sound, see if you can hang a room mic (probably a condenser) or two and mix that into their band mix. Is this the standard band+me in-ear system or something more customizable like Aviom?A good rehearsal last night although it took a few attempts for everyone to get on the click (we're just using it in rehearsal still). We had to have it really cranked up, to the extent that it was actually audible in the hall through any earbuds that were left dangling.
Has anyone else had an issue with this? At the moment the only thing I can suggest is that everyone puts both their earbuds in (as they should anyway, but it's a real issue with those who want to hear more ambient sound, typcally singers).
I don't think it's a good idea to have one ear bud out...you need to turn the volume much higher to hear things, and risk damaging your ears.
I agree with the risk factor, but it is sometimes necessary to only have one ear "on" to hear everything you need to hear.
I think if you take the time to get a good mix there's no reason to need one out to hear everything you need.

Is it just a couple of people with weak timing who have their buds cranked, or is everyone doing it?...it took a few attempts for everyone to get on the click (we're just using it in rehearsal still).
