The price is right!! P bass inside!!

Lets play the price is right with no prize. Guess how much I paid for this heap of crap Squier P bass?

Found it on craigslist. So far it looks like there were about 100 decals on it including the back of the neck (????) I am normally an Ibanez guy but so many people love these cheap P basses I figured what the hell.

Seems like it needs
Stickers and residue removed
New pick guard
Probably some soldering
Overall clean of hardware
New strings
And maybe some new screws since the ones on it are a little rusty.

The bottom is a little dinged up but there are no serious cracks so we will just call the dings "Character"

I am so far impressed by this bass, even though its made in china it feels very sturdy and solid. The tuners are completely enclosed and the neck is straight as an arrow.

Being that this is my first adoption and all I am open to any and all suggestions for making this bass a work of art. Including whether or not i should get a bridge cover and which pick guard to choose. If you have any pics of nice P basses with this off white color and a cool pick guard post em up.

*Dry Heave*

A pack of smokes?

Who in their right mind would slap stickers on the back of the neck? Oh, and pet peeve: Bassists who string their bass like a guitar.

Here is my Highway One in Honey Blonde. In this picture it looks like a similar color but in other lights it actually has a "flesh" color to it. I'd either put a Red Tort or a White Pearl PG.

The A and D strings have different color ends, than the E and G, aside from the looseness anyway. I can't top the $1 bid in this game, by rules, unless everyone else bid way too high, Visarale wins by default. So the answer is..(?)

I paid $30 for it. Right local in town so it was easy to pick up. From what i can tell these things retail for over $200 so I felt like I got a damn good deal.

I am not willing to accept donations of parts to get this baby in good shape. Ill pay shipping but if anyone has a pick guard or anything else they would like to get rid of to help bring a junker bass back to life PM me.

I am thinking maybe ill fix it up and then donate it or something.
