The problem with Nordstrand

I realized why Carey Nordstrand is located in the middle of nowhere. (sort of) Yucaipa, Ca isn't a booming metropolis.
Its because of the quality of his (their) work.

People may not be aware that Nordstrand does repair work on basses. Any basses. The quality of the work is stupid good. I believe that if Nordstrand were located in a more major city, Carey would need a much bigger facility and more people than he does now. Plus, he'd never get a minute to do his evil experimenting.

I took my Fender MIA dlx J V, to him in hopes of getting my baseball like neck shaved a little. What I got back was (according to my friends) one of the best playing Fender J 5's ever. I also had a refret done on my Tyler. Fretbuzz free, low action and impeccable workmanship.
If people knew how good his repair work is, he'd be swamped with repairs. The problem is that he's in Yucaipa or Redding, or some other little town in So Cal.

So the problem

My dad lives in so cal. Maybe I should bring my bass next time I visit him. :D

Carey also made fantastic custom basses for a few years. I imagine he had to cut them out to work on his pickups and the Nordy line, which is likely less time-consuming.

Anyone know if they want to work on items that are shipped in? (Sure, I could just check the website or something, but that would be so less communal.)

At some point soon, I'll need a refret on my beloved constant and I want it to be done as well as possible.

Thanks in advance.

As has been said before. Nordstrand is about as good as it gets. I know they take repairs, but I don't think they solicit them.
The hand shaping of my Fender neck is ridiculous! I love it!
