I've never stopped breast-feeding. When they have those La Leche League seminars for women I always sign up as a volunteer baby.

When I saw your reply in the alerts, I got excited because I thought I knew there was someone on my side. Instead I was disappointed.

Golly, I didn’t know we were debating.

I didn’t mean to imply that I am anti-breastfeeding. I haven’t really done enough research to form a cogent opinion, though I have heard that in addition to helping a mother and child form bonds that are generally considered to be beneficial, it can also help the baby develop healthful intestinal flora.

Still, I think that by the time one has developed into an adult, capable of developing a hobby (or perhaps even a profession - I don’t really know you) as a musician and is able to care for oneself, perhaps even having developed the means to provide oneself with solid nourishment through the purchase of groceries, it may be time to consider weaning oneself from the maternal teet.
