That makes more sense than 'malady' and explains "them".

Yes, when you're watching something that somebody else is watching but you don't want to watch that then you can't watch what you want when you want to watch it even though what someone else watches might be what you want to watch but if they don't like it then they'll watch something else but you may or may not want to watch that either.

What do you think I’ve been doing for the past decade and a half and God forbid I end up watching it on occasion when hundreds upon hundreds of episodes are out and they are out on Hulu and I can’t dodge them all because you know the odds are not in my favor and then you try traipsing around here long enough when this abomination is on with you painting this playing that going here drinking in the shower and BAM, McDreamy in your face due to your watching Grey’s Anatomy due to statistics being against you?/. Statistics. Being. Against. You.
