I'm the only one of my six person department that showed up today and I couldn't be happier. No clucking to listen to and working non stop all day means this'll go by quickly. I need to convince the boss to fire all of them and give me a 600% raise.
"Critical Hippos" - could be an interesting band name...
This is the first car that I remember my family owning (although it was white, not yellow.) I was 3 years old when we bought it in 1960. It had no seat belts and there was no such a thing as a child car seat. I was responsible for my own safety and my mother drove like a maniac.
It was a wonderful new world of station wagon living!
Edit: I really like it in yellow. It kind of looks like a taxi, but almost all taxis in that era were Checkers.
