This is the first car that I remember my family owning (although it was white, not yellow.) I was 3 years old when we bought it in 1960. It had no seat belts and there was no such a thing as a child car seat. I was responsible for my own safety and my mother drove like a maniac.

It was a wonderful new world of station wagon living!

Edit: I really like it in yellow. It kind of looks like a taxi, but almost all taxis in that era were Checkers.

We need the Original Post Date on a thread nice and big on the first post so we know if it was from today or four years ago right away.
This Thread had me talking about it as it just happened only for people to tell me, "That was a few months ago." at which I reply, "I just read it so it just happened." Looked later and OP was from a few month ago. :banghead:

Looks like someone cut the power to the electric fences at Jurrasic Park again.
