I am filing an edge back into my hatchet. My red checker shirt got soaked in beer last night though.
Quantum gnomes are mutant metro gnomes, the ones that help musicians to keep time.
A good sports day, which is a poor replacement for a good hair day, which I can't have.

You need a peanut allotment to grow and sell peanuts in many US states. Otherwise, everyone would plant peanuts and the farmers would go broke.
There is only so many allotments and so there is a business to grant allotment rights to 3rd parties in exchange for money. Similar allotment markets exist for pollution emissions.
Peanuts must be carefully dried, stored and inspected as peanut mold is a potent liver cancer agent.

I grew peanuts and okra and shared with locals when i worked near the mouth of the congo river. Its where these plants originated. The name goober comes from the local ko ongo word goobah.
Locals considered okra leaves a delicacy and would strip these, killing the plants.
Indian guy brought in some gourd variety that grew 3 to 4 feet a night. Grew so fast it scared us into carefully eradicating it.
I also transplanted at least 10 bananna trees. They bear fruit in about a year if watered. Never got any bananas, locals always beat me to them.
