Feeling rested?

Actually, I'm worn ragged keeping up with a great new social media platform that has supplanted TB in my online life.
You guys should have a look at it, I think it is gonna take off in a big way

Aha! I see my post was not clearly stated.

In the above activities, there is a mix of foreground and background activities. The background activities free up the foreground.

I.e. golf swing is actually 12 to 15 sequenced activities. The golfer has developed the reflexes to do these activities perfectly without too much conscious effort. He doesnt consciously change his weight distribution between his feet, it's a well developed reflex. Mostly he aims and mentally thinks "swing" and the reflexes take care of most of it from there. Btw, a golf swing should always be the same, except for speed, the way I was taught. I suck at golf btw.

For flying, I have just over 1200 hrs when I quit 25 years ago. No A380 time. Trainers were very astute about the role of reflexes in flying. "Choose how you are going to do it, and stick with it" was excellent advice for flying and for life. When we flew small planes, there was a gear retraction lever we threw even though the plane was fixed gear, just to make sure we developed that reflex. The majority of single pilot gear up landings have their root in some sort of distraction just when the gear down reflex kicks in plus not heeding the short fin as l mantra for gear down.

The East Germans were big into applications of reflex development back in the day.

I watched basketball camp yesterday, where they juggle a tennis ball while dribbling the ball. Pushes the dribble into the background.

Foreign languages. We would toss tennis ball while talking. East German taught me that.

Anyway, hope that is clearer
Totally disagree.....Just because.....:p

Dr. Groot's Least Loved Bedtime Stories

The Unloved Boy

Once upon a time, there was a nomad boy called Termujin. His father, the chief of the tribe, was poisoned by another tribe when he was 8. So he claimed the role of chief as the oldest boy of the first wife. But the tribe didnt like that and snuck away in the middle of the night, leaving Termurjin and his fathers wives and children to starve in the middle of winter.

But Termujin's mommy was very strong and showed them how to survive by eating berries and fish and marmots and dead animal carcasses. And they survived..

One of Termujin's half brothers claimed the rule of the band, which meant he would make the rules and sleep with Termujin's mommy. Termujin didn't like that and shot him in the back with an arrow. Then he ran away.

But a rival tribe captured him and made him a slave. They made him wear a heavy neck stock so he he couldn't run away. But Termujin's friends helped him escape.

But Termujin became a mighty leader, uniting all the tribes. He made his boyfriend friends his generals.

Soon his army became the most powerful in the world and they defeated all the armies he fought.
It was not nice to be defeated. He executed enemy generals by boiling. If others rulers resisted, he killed all their soldiers and most of the men, took the women and children into slavery. When he marched from city to city, he put the captives up front to stop the arrows and fill the moats. Many millions died.

But it was not all business. His DNA is the most common in Eurasia, because he and his sons wanted to leave a lasting mark on future generations.

And that is the story of the unloved and misunderstood little boy that the world came to know as Genghis Khan.

What ones?.....
Serious drinking, procreation, hunting, government philosophy, military planning, administration of a massive empire and the silk road franchise, dinner parties on a stage which rested on the backs of his defeated enemies, suffocating them.

One of his childhood friends betrayed him and lost a rebellion. Genghis captured him and offered him his life, but his friend declined. Genghis showed no hard feelings by having his neck broken, instead of shedding blood.

The Mongols actually disliked shedding blood up close and preferred horseback archery at which they excelled and siege machinery. However, if the need arose, they could behead 10,000 captives in a morning.
