At the moment I'm wanting this, Moog Taurus Pedals, I've got an opportunity to also get an 80's T-Top for a deal (I even have options there between a Vette or Camaro), and a two week trip in Japan....tough choices what I will do this year!
And me... good to see they're bringing it back, sad to realize I may never afford one. At least I have my funky little Shaftesbury 3263, the bass Rickenbacker never built (basically a copy of a 330 guitar)! (There's that anniversary model in the post above, but that wasn't around when the Shaftesbury was built 50 years ago! So basically Rickenbacker copied the Shaftesbury)
that's similar to Gibson copying the Flying V bass from the earlier Japanese ones
I made another payment towards my new bass that coming. I take surveys online and used that $ that I've been holding on to for this payment. 10% off my bill with this "free" money!
I just sent an email to Rickenbacker inquiring about a better ship date for this bass.

I received a reply today, honestly, I didn't expect one so soon…kudos to Rickenbacker.
"Unfortunately, I am unable to give anything other than a rough estimate as to when these may start shipping out but the estimated wait time for that model is around 6-12 months. The first run of these is supposed to come through this Summer so there is a chance you may see it around that time but there is no guarantee that you would see it at that time
I apologize for not being able to give you an exact delivery date. These play amazingly, you will be very happy!

They are probably well worth the wait IMO.
I'm just short of have 1/2 of paid it off already. Baby steps don't hurt much…sorta like a layaway plan.

Even if I didn't play Bass, I would still want one. That's how great I think they look.
Batsignal up to @ctmullins, he actually built a version of the "Lightshow" 4005, maybe he'll post it here. Not for the Stage Shy, that's for sure! I've seen those same photos before, is that the only one with Entwhistle playing it?
It's the only one I know of. Although, he may have a video too. Those pics are from the Quadrophina song book of mine.
