Not sure about that model, but they did not have a P only bass, they did have a PJ though. I have one, it's a killer.

Was actually just in town about a month ago - picking up a cabinet in Callao, MO - 'bout 30 miles north of Columbia.

If that was what I was gonna do-and it ain't
-I'd move the pup more to the neck.
By using the DS "swimming pool route," it then becomes reversable in it's hole.
Move it more t'ward the neck. If you don't like the extra sonic depth (and I think you will) then reverse it so's the poles are on the bridge side.
Also, I'd find a donor Rev neck, and send it to Dolan, Lull, or some other such qualified luthier who could mic it up (micrometer, not microphone!) and make a damn fine copy of the neck. The Reverend necks are just dreamy, I think.
Lastly, I'd add a string

That's great. Gives you the difference between Precision Standard, and "bigger and deeper."

I do know Rev 4 and 5 string necks are just very very nice and comfy.
The BH5 neck is a chunk, and requires getting used to.
I have on hand:
72 Tele, 51 P RI, 62J RI, 72 P, 81 L1000, L2000, SB2
Rev JJ, Rev PJ (are the necks different? never mic'd em...)
The Lakland Scheff 4, and HB4 are also very fine necks.
To really get very definative about such things, you have to get out a contour guage, and a radius guage, and get to measuring a lot of things.

I know it just "feels right" to me. Was just wondering of there was a big difference from a jazz neck, maybe the geddy

So, who won some of Joey Naylor's "Goodies" off of Ebay?
Yeah, they just look so darn big. With the pole pieces reversed I guess there would be a big difference.
