I still have never owned a mplae neck Rev.

I think you'll find the gold-topper to sound a lil brighter than the Noir...which is is formica topped, right?
I think the aluminium body changes tone more than a maple fingerboard.

Plz report back on that issue (you'll have to have same strings on both to really be fair!)

Sweet! 2 new additions to our "Family".

I like the tone of the Dragonfly Very Much! And with the RW boards, it still has a Warm tone. I wish we could A/B the 2 aluminum toppers, and compare the Subtle differences between them.

But you Scored Brother! (And Dig Deep, you'll find a way to keep 'em both!)

The gent who sold it to me said the same thing, that the aluminum body was much brighter than the standard body.
And yes, the Poisson Noir is formica topped....and both of them have white formica sides!!!!:p:p

The Yellow PJ is mine! Should have it by the end of next week. I managed to pry a 'Fish from a notorious 'Fish hoarder...I had to act fast before she got second thoughts. :D

I think this bass needs a black guard, does Pickguardian, or anybody for that matter, have a PJ guard template?

No, Pickguardian doesn't. I got the last Black PJ Rev' Guard off of Ebay:D.

But if you MAILED your PG to Pickguardian, they would use that as a template. And OF COURSE charge you a "Custom Order" fee...

with pickguardian: i'd try asking them to waive the custom fee: they'll sell a ton of p/j pickguards once they have one to work from.

if they won't do that, maybe jeannie pickguards would.

doesn't seem fair to upcharge you for allowing them to make a template from yours...

I'll look it up, but I asked if he had more. It was his last one. He had it listed for over a year, and no one bought it. I FINALLY couldn't resist, and put it on the Orange Roughy.
