temporairy with steels and running thru my acoustic 220 and sad 2/12 it also kills.
what kind of flats did you use?
I'm a big fan of the TI Jazz flats on that bass, though I think Chef likes the D'Adderio Chromes.
It's one of the few basses I've given a nickname: Thumpy. And it's the best 5-string I've ever heard in terms of evenness of tone: Normally the B-string sounds very different to me in terms of timbre, to the point where I generally don't like fivers all that much. The 5L w/flats sounds perfect and even from top to bottom.
Love this bass for Motown and R&B type stuff.
