Yeah, I'm sticking with the 4 banger more and more these days. Got my 5 in case I need it, but the P/J is my main axe these days.

Last time I corresponded with Joe, he said no plans for any more basses. I was really hoping that rumor about a Korean-made Stage King bass was true. That'd be too cool.

Sorry to stray off the topic of "Dreaming of a new Rev Bass" (I'd buy one in a second BTW) but I've got a general question about the pickups in the Rumblefish and in particular, the PJ model. I'm finding that the pups in mine are super hot. I can't put my volume controls past 6 or 7 without it clipping. The distortion is cool sometimes but if I want distortion I like to control it from my amp not my bass. Would adjusting the height of the magnets in the pups make a difference? I don't have this problem with my JJ fish, only the PJ. The pickups in my 2 fish seem to be a different make too.

You could lower the pickups -- that certainly should stop them from clipping if you can get them lower.

The other alternative is to swap them out with something else. TBer "4mal" has some Aeros on his P/J fish, and it just KILLS.

Or go thru the "active" input on your amp if there is one.
I wouldn't trade the stock pups myself...
