I Love It! Only "Quirk" is I somehow pull the "B" string down, and when it touches the pickup, it POP's! LOUD!! I'm working on changing my my attack. I think it carries over from rattling a 4-banger for too long. Oh, and my Wireless is useless with these HOT pups. Even padded, it's too wild. Using a Cheap-o Samson Airline anyways...Anyone have luck going wireless with a RumbleFish? What gear/Settings/etc...?

The Fury is ALL Reverend now. I'm waiting for pic's from our NYE show. I'll post one when I get them. :hyper:

Yeah, that's a little unrealistic, IMO. Not an early serial number, XL electronics, etc..
I had a 'Fish with that exact configuration.. didn't like it nearly as much as my blue JJ. The bugeye XL felt and sounded different.

That is steep, I have seen a P/J go for over a grand though. We'll see.

Dave, how did the XL feel different? I would have guessed them to be the same and I was thinking of an XL for my next one. Though I'd probably take whatever I could get. ;)

It was very subtle, but the neck profile felt a tad thicker. This was about seven years ago, and the serial number was around 1400, if I recall right. I could have been imagining it, but I played the XL on a couple of gigs and sold it.
I wasn't crazy about the "series" sound of the XL, and the bugeye finish lost its charm after about two days, but that's just personal preference.

Yeah I don't really care for it with the silver guard and white pups.

I can understand your feelings on the Bugeye finish. I wasn't too sure about it when it was first offered to me, I had my heart set on '69 Orange, but it played so nice and the finish grew on me. I get tons of compliments on both basses.

I like the XL switch on the 5L, so I'd probably like it on the 4 string.

I paid $400 for my 5L, $650 for my 4 p/j, $900 for my BH5 as NOS.
The used market is generally about $150-200 high for me anymore, but this one's just dumb.

I've been looking at Reverend 6 string twangers for a while now and the guy who is selling that bass seems to get a lot of the metal finished ones. He's probably had 6 or 7 in the last 2 months (guitars that is). Just a day or two ago he sold a lava swirl commando for $850. It'll be interesting to see what happens with the bass. There have been a few twangers on there in the last week or two with high asking prices as well.

Yeah I've noticed that he's on the lookout for the metal finishes. I can appreciate trying to make a few bucks, but he's really trying to drive em up.

I'd love a Rev guitar one of these days. Played one of the Warhawks and it was really nice. The build quality is very high. I would gladly take one.
