I'm not sure if there's a Rick club yet, but i looked in search for a good 20minutes!

Post your Rickenbackers! Then put your member number in your sig! :P

Numbers will be handed out if you don't know how to count :P

Rick copies are okay too!

(Currently my Rick needs new truss rods which are in the mail, so i'll post more pictures once i fix it! :D)

Are you allowed to be in the Ric club with a Hipshot bridge though? :eyebrow:

My first Ric is due to arrive Monday and I don't remember ever being this excited about any of the other basses or equipment I've ordered online. Brand new Midnight Blue 4003 with the thin neck, adjustable polepiece pickups and push/pull cap bypass. I can't wait!

bought a Hipshot bridge off Ebay today for it too, lol ;)


Well I had to play a while before getting the pics. Tried it sitting, standing, plugged in and unplugged. The setup is good, intonation is on and it arrived about a quarter step flat on all strings. People seem to always say they love em or hate em, so I figured I better start off with a good shakedown. LOVE IT!

A lot of pics I've seen of the midnight blue look pretty bright. I hoped it would be a little darker and it is. This pic is about right. It's hard to capture perfectly.

Any mods are welcomed! Except the Jazz pickup mod... *shudder* Play your Rick with the orginal bridge and then put the Hipshot on, it's a awesome increase of sustain!


Yeah i saw your thread, Midnight blue is a NICE color! Even though i REALLYYYY want a BlueBurst 4003 :) but they're hard to find and are expensive ._. Be sure to post it here when you get it!

Yep. Started on upside down righty basses. Now when I buy a lefty, I have to reverse the nut and restring it.

I can't imagine playing that way, but if I started out that way I guess it would be natural. Having your basses set up this way doesn't prevent right-handers from playing your basses, huh? :D

Also, I don't suppose you play any slap that way do you?
