It's a poly 3 tone sunburst with a pizza puke pick-guard.
I have one of them too. It's a great instrument, but I hate the pick-guard. One of these days I may look for another.

There's a luthier in France (Chris Huort) who makes custom-made Bass VI's and Invalid Link Removed (and other parts) too.
He also dolled-up an MIJ Fender VI for Robert Smith.
Chris should be able to make a new 'guard for your 'VI.

Any one having trouble with their Gretsch Jet VI? I swear after the third month of owning mine the action is crazy high and buzzes all over. Its has been setup but still crazy high action and buzz. And the more I deal with this instrument I see how poorly made it really was. Bridge that rocks back and forth, poorly routed pup holes and poorly grounded.
I would be interested if the total cost (guitar, neck, bridge, pickups if necessary) was reasonable...though I'd want to get some type of "ready made" solution...not something I'd have to learn to do myself or take to a shop and spend $$$ to have created. For example: I bought the guitar, shipped it to said luthier, and had them put everything together and have it essentially set up out of the box, would be something I would do. I'm not exactly confident however in the techs in my area to put something like this together...they seemed dumbfounded when I brought my Hellcat VI in as it was...and I had to tweak it extensively after I got it back from them because they didn't do it right. And it'd have to work well...if it were no better than a Hellcat VI then there's no point... You'd have to think about it from a value standpoint...if when its all said and done it costs $600 to have what is essentially a foreign Tele copy made into a 30" scale...what is the advantage going to be over the Hellcat other than something that is just different?
If the luthier wanted to make a special neck, I think the solution that I would be likely to pay for would be if the luthier bought a batch of guitars of Rondo to convert (after taking preorders from people!), and did the entire conversion process for a reasonable price and sold it as a complete instrument. If this could be done at a logical price point then they'd probably be able to sell them, but I can't see paying custom shop prices for something like this for sure..
I like Rondo Music but I would rather Kurt "special make" a 30" guitar that is of better quality than the $100 SX guitars...such as the $600+ 8 string Agiles...something of that quality I would pay more for.
Don't feel too bad...I had to shield my Hellcat VI too recently...and its still not perfect. If I played clean all of the time it'd be fine, but playing with gain is a little on the noisy side still...but not much worse than my other humbucker equipped guitars... And getting it setup was kind of awkward, the shop I took it to didn't do a great job and so I had to do more adjustments when I was done...I think its a tricky instrument for some techs to get their heads around if they haven't seen it before... Then again I haven't played the Gretsch...so maybe it is a bum instrument.

Those gauges don't match up with B-C tuning. They are the same as E-E strings, so that must be a typo.

Probably made by someone who only knows 6 string basses as B-C and isn't aware of the early 6 strings. Everyone isn't as enlightened as we are.

I tune it BEADF#B baritone and then drop the B to A most of the time...I play in a 3 piece with a Strat weilding guitarist. Through my Fender 400PS it kicks you like a bass and you can play spinegrinding 6 string power chords without freaking out the amp...something I know I couldn't pull off with a Bass VI...I'm just in the middle of a USACG Bass VI build which will take over from the mutant Jag - my guitarist will pick the Jag up for some interesting interactions with the VI (I will tune the Bass VI with baritone strings as well)...should open a few doors...
No I had to send it back three times until I got the one I have now. It played wonderfully at first but now I see it was a lemon in disguise. I think I read on here somewhere that the body is plywood and from what I can tell it is. The pup holes are very ragged. Had I know it was like this I would have saved for the Hellcat or built myself a Bass VI clone.
But to salvage this one I'm thinking of putting Invalid Link Removed bridge on it to try and eliminate the rocking back and forth.

I have a Jaguar Bass VI/Baritone Custom/Bottom Master, which is much like your Jaguar, that I currently tune in B too. Will have to try it in drop A tuning some day. Oh, and make sure to post pictures of your VI once it's finished!
The Burns bass of mine that I posted a shot of was standard guitar scale not anywhere near as long as the Fender VI.

Yeah, they are warm and even sounding but lack any real character or sparkle. But I have a feeling with a different tone pot (one that allows more highs through) or even a tone bypass, the pickups might sound better.
