This is my first post on this site, or any forum for that matter
I just joined today lol. But anyways... I'm always looking to improve my right hand technique on the bass. I've moved from thumb to thumb and index to index and middle, I still use them all but I've just started to really get a grip on slapping and popping, double thumping, etc. But to be able to play as funky as my fingerstyle it seems I have to be sitting down because that's the only way I can get the right slapping angle. But I don't wanna look like a freakin' square when I'm playing the Lord's good funk! I like to wear my bass so that the middle of the body is parallel with my hip bone when standing. This forces me to do kind of a downward slap. Are there any tips for playing better in this regard? I've noticed some of the really funk guys like to wear their basses super high, almost to their chests lol. But I don't think that looks too cool to be honest
