The stack of doom. Cabling question.

Looks great.

I'm sure the 800 should be able to keep up.

Let us know what you end up with sound-wise (if you can still hear afterwards!)

BTW, don't let it get you down regarding that rig as a "practice setup"- I use my SVT810 in my living room to practice all the time- it can play quietly enough (even with my bridged SWR 800 Watt amp) so as to not disturb others two rooms away!

I'm after tone FIRST, then volume!

Yeah, it has that too..

So on the photo I should be selecting 2ohm? Only the 112 and 2x10 are in parallel.
You’d have to go out of your way to wire them in series.... they are in parallel.
If your car battery is dead and you use jumper cables, your dead battery and the helper battery are jumped in parallel.
D cells stacked end to end in a long handled flashlight are in series.

I would love to see that.

Man. I would absolutely love to load in with that. If I was going to dump a lot of cash on my rig, it would probably be subway cabs and the D800 or 2ohm stable power amp.

They've got a 115 in the Windsor long and mcquade. I have no reason to own one, that doesn't stop me from wanting it. If I didn't like my current cab so much I'd try to make a trade.

Just curious......why all the different cab configurations? Why not all the same cabs?
I got the head and 112 at a clearance sale around half price so I wasn't going to let the 112 go even though I didn't really want it. Then I saw the other cabs come up on sale over a few months. The 115 was first so as a stack that matches what I though to be a good combo. But I'd always played a 2x10 style cab before and really liked it so when the Mesa 210 came up i grabbed it.

It's probably unlikely I'll use them all at the same time but I will at the next gig to see what happens. We play a diverse range of venues so I should have all of them covered.

Also, three cabs is easier move than one monster. I'm an old man, 20kg is my limit.

And there's also the Pokemon aspect, gotta get them all.

If you're asking yourself why they are ALL in parallel, despite only two cabs being connected via daisy chain, its because the two outputs on the amp are connected parallel to each other as well (internally)

BTW connecting speakers in parallel is preferred anyway, because when one speaker fails the other will still work (and you don't fry your OT in case you are using a tube amp)

I'm tempted. Right now I am running two Ampeg 410HE's because I need a lot of volume but the shlep factor is getting annoying. These things look awesome but I can't live with spending 7 or 8 bills used A PIECE for them. I'll shlep a little longer... They do sound great.

Alternatives?

Sure, Ampeg
Just kidding :D Looks cool, would very much like to hear how this setup sounds.
Did you have a specific goal in mind when combining these different drivers?
Like the 10"s for the punch, the 15" for clarity, and the 12" for a mid emphasis? Or for other reasons?
Anyway, I like the idea of that combination very much.
Have fun playing! \m/

EDIT: Overlooked your post - answered my question, sorry and thanks!
