That episode is okay. I understand why it's high on a lot of lists but I never thought it was anything that special. Kind of a waste of The Guardian of Forever.

What about as the series' first ever Romulan in "Balance of Terror?"
Balance of Terror along with the Doomsday Machine are my two favorite episodes ever.
I always preferred the 'ships battling in space' over the 'clashing with new civilizations' type episodes. (Except for Arena.) Unfortunately, there were relatively few of the former versus the latter.

I haven't seen that episode in a while. I don't remember that character being anything special but I'll watch it tonight and see what I think.
That's cool, I'm happy the children of this generation will have their own introduction to Star Trek!
Right on, such a great episode. I think it's one of the best of the original series!
