what is bendwell? Add me to the club. No pics at the moment but I have a fretless headless and a status jazz neck on a jazz bass.
Even a crappy cellphone photo will do. I'm a passable photographer for other stuff, but I've never been able to do good gear porn.
As to your question, the bendwell is an option on headless Status Graphite basses, where instead of having a classic 34" scale neck from nut to bridge, the nut (well, OK, zero fret) is moved a couple of inches toward the bridge, and between it and the string retainer there's a dip (or "well") where you can reach and press down on the strings to cause a pitch bend. The remainder of the neck is set up at a 32" scale.

Just sent in an order to Rob for another Stealth II with many different options from my first. Pickup spacing, LED's, rounded body contour's . Now comes the wait.
