The Status Register - Official Status Graphite Club

OK. That's it. I've been on the verge of doing this for months, but that "Where is the Status Love" thread has pushed me over the edge. Rob Green's Status Graphite basses are exceptional both in the sense of excellent and the sense of unusual. My headless Stealth 5 is a remarkable instrument, with the most perfect neck I've ever played.

Once I got the Stealth, I of course checked on TalkBass for a "Status Graphite Club" for sharing experiences, as one does if one is a TBer with a cool new instrument. And I was a little surprised that there wasn't one. At best, we Status seekers were seen as an annex of the Headless Club, which, while it could have fit me personally, seemed supremely unfair to those of you who play headed Status basses.

So, voila! I say long live Rob and long live Status, and declare myself to be Status Register member #1.

Sure why not? Very nice Stealth. A headed 4 string is on my lust list. I do have a Status Eclipse Artist and a Trace Elliot T-Bass '98 SE (made by Rob Green at Status). Hopefully these will qualify. I'm having issues with photo bucket for some reason but will post pics tomorrow.

By the way, DrDav14, just what is that red/orange finished bass in your 4th image? I've never seen anything quite like it.

Thats a Status B2. Rob has only made one that was headless. It's a beautiful bass, but it didn't compare tonally to my Stealth.

I'll join: mine's a Status Energy. Not so fancy but with the bolt-on graphite neck and walnut body it's my best gigging bass.

Nope, just thought it would look cool, and the bridge-end tuners are great for micro adjustments.
