The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

In a previous life I worked in transportation and logistics. It was always fun to send the rookies to the shop to get a trailer stretcher.
When I was working as a maintenance sparky the fitter I was working with got tired of the apprentice so he sent him to the store for a 6 inch population tool.
Apparently he turned a very dark shade of red when the store keeper dropped his pants.
The apprentice stopped bothering the tradies after that.

Add that to the Blinker fluid, horn oil or winter air for tires gag.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Hey all, I recently grabbed a finally v2 off the classifieds here to add after my hx stomp and im finding it to be VERY drivey, beyond what I would expect or find to be practical at all. I pulled the back cover off and saw the tube said "ecc83s" so it's a 12ax7? Is that the stock tube to come with this pedal? Anywhere past 2 or 9 oclock on the gain knob is a heavy distortion with no mercy.

The Finally used to come stock with the ECC83S/12AX7, but it went to ECC82/12AU7 when it was revised to the WBIM edition. My v2 also came with the 12AX7 and was too easy to drive, so I've been rolling various new prodution 12AU7s. The JJ is still the stock brand if you're looking for a direct replacement.

Played out at the Hide Away Brew Garden in Hoffman Estates IL, just a stone throw from where these gems were birthed.

The Neptunium really adds some weight to the notes, my IEM’s
sounded the best I’ve ever heard since I stopped carrying around my Super Bassman and Uber 410.

Some bad pics, but pics none the less.

Is it possible that your line out on the stomp is set to line level and not instrument? Worth a check.

I’ve used the finally V1 with a NOS Raytheon 12AX7 and it sounded fantastic with the stomp using these settings.

I made that mistake at first, but switched to inst. level pretty quickly with my stomp. Those settings would be way too driven with my setup. I’m happy to roll tubes to try to get to a softer level of saturation

Have you tried plugging directly into the Finally? I always found when using mine that it was a constant balancing act of gain staging. I typically never rain the gain much higher than 9' oclock but also had an Underground Accelerator hitting the front end of it that I would have to set the output level just right to ensure that I wasn't causing the DI to break up too much. Would then use the output level on the Finally to set my overall volume for the entire board, much like a Mic pre with trim control.

Not to derail, but are you using an amp on stage at all or just pedalboard to PA and IEMs?
