The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

Slightly off-topic, but I've been remodeling my music room/studio, and I got these acoustic panels that I noticed said they were "spray paintable", so me and the sushi kiddos made an art project of it.

I noticed that the Neptunium was not out-of-stock this morning, so I helped to reduce the inventory.

This will be my second SushiBoxFx pedal. The Elementary was my first.

Edit: That doesn't sound right. Can i use 'is' instead, as I still have, and use, the Elementary. I didn't want it to sound like I don't have it anymore.

Yup, I had a productive weekend and finished up the remainder of the Neptunium builds I had planned so they're all listed as in-stock. I may reorder boards and boxes and build some more up later, but it will probably be a little while as I have other priorities that need to be handled right now.

Your Neptunium (as well as the others ordered over the weekend) will be on its way to the post office in a few minutes.

Same day ordering, shipping, and response. *THIS* is customer service at the highest level.

Taking a break here from jamming to gush a bit more on the Neptunium. The more I play it, the more it exceeds my expectations. I've got it on my desk now to play along with tunes during work breaks and it's such a delight to play through. For me playing at home on my headphones is where I can finely tune the sounds I'm looking for and enjoy the small details. The Neptunium provides delicious details in spades.

I've got it after my LA-1A now, my usual chain for playing at home. An excellent combo if you're looking for wide, fat sounds. Glowing tubes all day!

Y'all need to stop gushing about the Neptunium, my pedal budget for the year is blown after getting the Source Audio Artifakt and replacing our house HVAC unit for our little hippie pad. $10.5 grand puts the kibosh on fun spending for quite a while. To be fair we got a lot of service from the original unit 27 years is pretty good, We were the last man standing in this part of my 'hood.

Then again this may finally push me into selling much of the gear I never or rarely use some quite rare and dear. I already sold off all my touring gear, cabs and cases that was just taking up room in the garage, now there is room to park the Ve_hicle aka BluSu

How does the output jack of the Neptunium work without the corresponding tube? Is it effectively a parallel input jack, switched to solid state, or did the DI output switch to solid state?
The 1/4" output is the same preamp output that gets fed to the DI output. There are zero solid state devices in the audio path.

Zekker's idea didn't take root. I think he proposed replacing that tube with a IRF820 mosfet. Even posted your schematic modified with the mosfet.
I never had any intention of doing that, but he is of course more than welcome to give it a shot and I would be interested to hear how he likes it. I'm not crazy about hybrid designs.

Like all of you I’m always looking for The Tone…and have been jonesing for some tubey goodness from Sushi Box for a while now (long time lurker, first time poster/buyer). I’ve had my eye on a Finally or a More, but the Neptunium finally got me.

I offloaded an old cabinet and had the cash to put towards something new. Ordered my Neptunium yesterday and am looking forward to giving it a try!
