The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

That Furthermore looks like my dream pedal for anywhere use, match it to a 2 watt tube amp pedal and I would be in heaven.
It would be the perfect practice amp for home with a small power amp and any speaker cab you have laying around.
Match it to a 50 watt power amp pedal and it would be a good rehearsal setup.
Straight into any powered speaker, done.

If you switched out the HPF for a Gain, SBVT II?
That's a bit of an oversimplification as the circuits themselves have almost nothing in common aside from the EQ, but in terms of controls, I guess? Furthermore's preamp has, as the name implies, more in common with More than with anything else I've made.

Thanks. That's why I ask, because my brain is simple. I am a simple caveman and your tube and FET circuits frighten and scare me.

Remember that time I mentioned I had pictures of the Furthermore prototype then got distracted and didn't post them? Please accept my apology.

Disclaimer: this is a prototype, not a production unit. Not only is it not for sale, it basically doesn't even work. I'm going to need some more time on this one, it looks like 2024 wasn't the year for it after all 🫤

But you don't understand, I need this pedal. I'm a caveman and I'm frightened by your noise machine, so get me another DI/Preamp/EQ pronto.

Good thing January is right around the corner then. ;)
I'll certainly do my best to get it done in 2025. Single Slice will get released this month, I already have one set for January (which no one seems to have guessed yet), then SBVT II will probably be my next priority. But Furthermore will happen.

I could get stuff done faster, but I keep distracting myself with other projects.

I'm kinda stumped if it's not the Furthermore or SBVT II. HPF/LPF related, not the Single Slice, not Cascades... I can only guess Firebox, but not sure why that would have an HPF/LPF/EQ section in it.

Unless it's ... the Venus Z+1?

IR loader pedal?

Nope and nope. I did recently redesign the Venus Z circuit board, but it was just to bring it up-do-date with the rest of the redesigned things. Better manufacturability, film capacitors, etc. The new version of that will hopefully be up next week, but it definitely won't be different enough to consider it a new pedal.

Reverb maybe? I noticed the Bathtub PCB on C2C.
Nope. My rule of thumb is if it's something bassists want I'll do it with Sushi Box, if it's something bassists don't care much about but guitarists will want, I'll put it on C2C. I won't say no bassists use reverb, but it's certainly not a common bass effect.

I'm going way out on a limb and guessing that the next pedal captures the essence of the famous Sun Records slapback echo. With tubey goodness, obviously.
That's quite a limb. So I can pretty easily say nope there.

IR loader pedal?
Nope, I think I mentioned a little bit ago I'm back to square one on the IR loader as the most recent programmer I've been working with ghosted me and took a bunch of development hardware with him. I still want to do a tube-driven IR loader pedal, but that pushes it back quite a ways.

As fun as this is, I feel like guesses are getting more and more creative, which means when I do finally tell you what it is it's just going to be boring by comparison.
