The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

I need another compressor like I need a hole in the head, but going to have to pull the trigger on this one.
Same here, warp. I would have to go look, but I'm guessing I have six currently. But none are tube circuits.

I love the 2024-gen More enough that I want to pair it with the Single Slice, to recreate or even improve upon, the Deep Dish.

Talk about service! Ordered the Venus Z on Friday afternoon. Delivered to middle of nowhere SE Ohio today! I'm still figuring things out on the Z but so far...Dang! Bumped the bass and low mid, high mid at 11 and the highs at around 1. Made the Warwick sing on the top end and growl like a mother on the bottom.
I still maintain that Venus Z is the unsung hero of Nathan’s current offerings. It is very different from his other tube based preamps, but equally as special in its own way.

It's sounding more and more likely that the Single Slice is next!

:hopeful:
I can officially announce Single Slice will be the next release. I have finalized the design and received the official thumbs-up from the amazing Mike Watt, just waiting for parts to come in now so I can build a bunch of them.

Saaaaaaame.

Talk about long-awaited! Great news, Nathan! :D:thumbsup: Gotta love "build a bunch of them."

Who all's getting one? 🖐️

Out of curiosity, how are sales on Venus Z compared to other similarly priced preamps in your catalog?
The closest in price and features is Grand Slampegg, which has only been released a couple weeks, but Grand Slampegg sales have already surpassed Venus Z sales.

Comparing anything to Finally is going to skew the data a bit because one of the big selling points of Finally is the price, but here's a fun graphic of all the D.I.-equipped preamp sales in 2024:

I wonder how the graphic would look if the Neptunium was still obtainable 😁
Based on the number of emails/messages I've received about it, probably quite different.

If possible, please post a pic of the final design.
Will do as soon as I get the new enclosures. The picture I posted a little while ago is mostly accurate, the only thing that changed is the "Threshold" control has been renamed "Sensitivity" as we decided it was more accurate.

I'll be interested in descriptions and ranges of each knob. Like the range of the Comp knob (1:1 - 1:20) or whatever it is. And if the Attack knob also adjusts the Release like the Origin Bass Comp.

Shout out to @Pedalnetics and @Sushi Box FX on this new collaboration of the DIm Stick a sweet little passive DI that is easy to place where needed. I feels solid and robustly built with top quality components and is a perfect fit for my little stage rig at the moment on a little shelf that attaches to a mic or music stand to go to FOH or backline. The Unagi transformer is accurate and transparent. View attachment 7096058
and yes my desk is a mess, nothing new there. 😎
That is one fine looking little DI, I really want one but I have no need for one.
Now I have to buy some gear that makes me need one of them fine looking little DI's.

Saaaaaaame.
Oh bugger, that makes it 2 things I don't really need but have to create a reason why I will need it.
Keep this up and the plastic thingy in my wallet will melt.

If my memory is right, you only made 25 Nobeliums. Or does that include PCBs you sell via CTC ?
I am fairly sure the last time this was asked it was only counting the sales in the Sushi Box shop, any sales on the C2CE site is not included in the graphs from the Sushi Box shop.
(but I could be wrong, again)

Yes and no. I made 25 but a couple of them had issues during testing and ended up not getting sold. I intended to fix them up and get them up for sale, but never got around to it, so they're sitting in a box on a shelf.

If I were to include the Nobelium PCBs I sell via C2C, that graph would be VERY different. Nobelium is my #1 selling PCB by a very wide margin. I have sold almost as many Nobelium PCBs in 2024 as I have units of Finally v2.

You are correct. The websites operate completely independently, so the sales metrics I get from them are separate.

Is this based on a certain style of compressor, VCA, optical, 1176 etc. etc.?
