Is it too dark? If people think it's too dark I have no problem going to the previous system of taking public suggestions for names and finding non-polarizing ones.
For me, yes.
If you've seen the video, and still think it's a good idea, go ahead.
I speak only for myself in this scenario.
I have not seen the video, only heard the story, but I'll take your word for it. I try to stay away from names that make anyone uncomfortable (my Big Muff clone was called "Muffin Man") and on further thought I agree, it's a bit tasteless. I'll get a list of the pedals that will need names and have another round of public naming ideas like I did a few months ago.
I’m personally not a fan of asking anyone’s opinions on anything nowadays....mainly because people in America have this amazing way of being able to find just about anything to be offended by. Name it whatever you want. If people get upset that is a “them” problem.

If you can offer a Tube DI that is even close to the Nobel for $300 or less, I will sign up for one now and send you my money.

And I agree to an extent, but at the same time finding a name for a pedal that doesn't bother anyone isn't that hard. Last time I had a naming contest there were at least half a dozen killer names per pedal. So I should clarify this won't be a vote, I'll still choose the name, but I'll be taking suggestions.
Price estimates are harder than date estimates, but I'll see what I can do
I definitely won't take any money until I know I have something to release.
I’ve always had the same philosophy when any of my friends or family come to me telling me they’ve been hurt by something I’ve said. And while it’s lonely at times since they’ve all left, at least I can just live my life.
I guess I'm missing the story here, but I do like Westinghouse much better than Topsy!
