So I bought a Neptunium and I gotta tell ya - it’s a really good looking pedal. The intention was to possibly replace my Nobelium so I could use a smaller Temple Audio board, but I’m having a little problem I could use some help with. My pedal chain is as follows:

Cali76 Compact Bass > Hx Stomp > Neptunium, feeding into a Hartke A3500 head via the 1/4 out on the Neptunium. The cab is a Peavey 2x10. When I play live, I use the XLR on the Neptunium to FOH, but my problem is with a strange electric popping noise I hear when connected to the amp from the 1/4 out. This occurs if the volume pot is any higher than 9 o’clock. It only occurs on notes played on my B and E strings around the 12th fret. To compensate, I have to reduce the bass pot and/or the volume. This never occurred with my Nobelium, so I’m at a loss here. Also, it doesn’t happen when I’m connected to FOH via the XLR.

Did you ever figure out what was going on with this?

I just wanted to share my appreciation of Nathan and Sushi Box.

I got my first SB pedal last year; the Nobelium.
And I was extremely pleased with it.
After some months though, it sadly developed some kind of problem and made crackling noises.
Contacted Nathan and we agreed he should have a look.
Sent it over the pond (I´m in Norway)
He gave it a check and sent it back to me.
All was fine for an hour or so, then same issue...
So I got back to Nathan and we agreed it would need a second checkup.
Of it went again.
I just got it back yesterday, and have been playing it all day; it´s as sweet as ever!
Nathan really takes his customer service seriously!
No money paid, just the one way shipping on me, the other on him.
This guy is a real pleasure to deal with.

My gut says Finally v3, but I haven't actually measured them. I'll see if I can do that some time. All three have the same output buffer on the 1/4" so it should at least be the same output impedance.

SWR Redhead preamp perhaps? Although I think that was a tube preamp so not sure if that would be April fools enough.

Maybe something famous for being solid state but with added tube goodness (a bit like Venus Z)

I think I recall Nathan saying the original plan was an April First leg-pull, but it actually worked out quite well. So I think it’ll be something unusual?

My red guesses were something Traynor (because Canada and a bunch of folks guessed that) or the Reddi; there's a C2C "Steddi" PCB now, so maybe a one-off sushi of that?

I still am inclined to think something Traynor too? There were a couple of Traynor guesses at the same time and Mr. Sushi alluded to some guesses were very close but not exact...

The red is not a clue, I just saw a finish that matched my latest guitar and said hey that looks nice.

I'll have to check the datasheet, I'll find out. Should be reasonably low though.

I apologize, I have seen your emails and have not gotten around to answering. I got 17 hours of sleep last night and am feeling pretty good though, I'll get caught up on emails today.

To someone who has the greenhouse… can yall stick an octave pedal in the loop and max the output? I’m wondering if it will get a nice saturated octave sound. Close to synth, but not. Some of the octave plus synth sounds are a bit too distorted for my liking.

I was thinking the other day that since PMLE is sorta similar, in corporate word salad jargon, to circle back on something. So, I then thought maybe a delay or echo. Who even knows?
