The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

@Sushi Box FX curious how many PMLE did you make / or how many are still available. A friend wants to hear mine when it arrives on Friday before pulling the trigger but it depends on how many are in stock.
I only made 20, and @darev is correct, there are currently 3 left.

I don't need another DI, I don't really need a DI at all but I would love to have a Gallien-Krueger voiced pedal so I am very conflicted about this one.
If I thought there might be a GK voiced pedal coming up on the C2CE site I would not think about it all but I know Nathan does not release pedals in C2CE if they are available at Sushi Box FX, this one is hard to work out.

Ops......I guess there are only 2 left now, I really need to work on my GAS.

You need it, don't fool yourself

Venus Z will get you the same tone. It has a few more features, but it’s in a slightly larger box.

The LA based compressor I did was Deep Dish, it was discontinued a couple years ago, Single Slice is the only compressor I have now but it is not LA based. Cascade was unfortunately shelved as I wasn't able to get consistent results out of it. I still want to do a chorus, but I need to learn more first.
Any plans of doing another take on an LA/optical compressor in the future? Or even a Fairchild inspired one maybe?

I have no idea. Which is not a no, but I have no specific plans at the moment.

I think the single slice does what a lot of people want from a "non surgical" compressor, added warmth, fatness etc along with the compression, I actually think the other alternative would be an optical pedal, for instance diamond type in the loop of a greenhouse, that way you get the best of both worlds.

There has to be a bullet rail between Chicago and Birmingham. This got here a couple of hours ago

Took a quick break and got to play with it for about 15 minutes. This sounds really good. EQ is great and I like the high mids a lot. This is the pedal I’ve been looking for. I have two active Jazz basses that use the Finally and PMLE will be used for my passive PJ and Thunderhorse.

I know I’m in a honeymoon phase, but this sounds really really good. And I was playing just through a QSC 12. Everything always sounds better through the amp so I can’t imagine.

Great job with this one Nathan!

If anyone ends up getting one and you don't dig it for some reason, I'd be down to trade my UA (older no eq switch version) for it + cash. More than happy with the neptunium I got recently and this would be a different flavor of preamp than I have...

Been tempted to get a Venus z (well really, an x so there was a boost/ gain knob - I would've ordered already if the PMLE had a Hahn knob lol) for a while, and this seems like it'd scratch that itch.

Can't see that (someone not liking it) happening, though!

Yup, what @Parzival said. I have had a UA, FInally V1, Dr. Wattson, Elementary, More, and a Finally v3. But the PMLE is my favorite sushi flavor of them all. I've wanted a Venus X / Venus Z since they came out, but without the larger enclosure. The PMLE, especially that High Mids control, is something special!

I'm playing an Acinonyx V1 bass with EB Cobalt flats. The only difference between my settings and yours are that I have the Bass down a smidge. Otherwise, my PMLE is set exactly as your is.

I'm running into the UA Teletronix LA-2A pedal. Really liking that so far. I can imagine a PMLE + Single Slice pairing would be fabulous.

@Sushi Box FX: Superb April Fool's idea, Nathan - this is the real deal!
