Some nice pedals there! I also have the Cali76, Broadcast AP and Broadcast 24V. I do the Broadcast 24V, and I highly recommend that one if you're looking for more pedals. I can't wait for my Dr Wattson to arrive in May!

On a side note, I do have a Sunnday Drive and my Strymon Zuma won't power it up. I just get the helicopter noises. My onespot 9V powers it up with no problems. It might be worth trying a 12VDC power supply with a higher current rating for these SB pedals, as I believe they're rated for a 9-12VDC input

X Series and dual mini tubes (Dr. Wattson and Sunnday Drive) can both handle 9-12V, single mini tubes can only handle 9V and will overheat (no permanent damage though) at 12V.

X Series pull less current at 9V, dual mini tubes will actually pull less current at 12V, though it's still a non-trivial amount of power as mini tubes are super power hungry.

So if my Dr. Wattson helicopters as the lone pedal on a One Spot, is it still worth checking to see how it responds to another power supply? And if so, is there one you would recommend?

Exactly. I took the risk when they first came out for 200+, and I'd do it again. I can now experiment with any power requirements and never think about power needs if I buy a pedal.

Cioks, if you're reading, a discount on the expansion supply would also be really appreciated...

Serves me right, but right after I say the DC7 fixes things, I decide to rearrange my board with the Slampegg first, get it all wired up, and then the Slampegg starts giving awful noises. Double checked all cables, all power cords, tried 9v and 12v, and it's definitely the Slampegg.

Frustrating, but then as soon as I moved it back to where I had it before in the signal chain, it's back to sounding great.

In short, maybe a DC7 won't solve your issue. I also think my Slampegg has gremlins.

My dr. Wattson was like that until I did the resistor mod.

I still get some mild wine but it goes away if I fiddle with the power plug. I’ll probably put a standard power plug in it. Never been a fan of the smaller ones.

If it's the only one on there and it's helicoptering it may be worth me having a look at. I'm not sure it would fix anything on a new supply, but I have a cheap ($20) 12V 1.5A supply I got from amazon that I originally got for use with X Series stuff, that does pretty well. It is center positive though so you have to make sure not to plug it into center-negative-only pedals.

mine already has the resistor mod done by Nathan along with the log pot.
