The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

I don't know enough about tubes to know if my op was ignorant in some way. I'm assuming from your response I shouldn't do it and/or a ring wouldn't do much?
No not at all. I just take any opportunity I can to say or write “highly viscous”. Try it. Makes me giggle. I grab every potential giggle I can these days.

Honestly, and I have no reason to believe this outside of a hunch, I suspect Nate is reacting in an appropriate, but wholly overcautious fashion. My gut tells me that mitigative action will not be required. His new level of QC resulting in “minor microphonics” will produce stellar results. At least that’s how I choose to anticipate.

Is olive oil viscous enough, or...?
Light olive oil might not be, but I think extra virgin might be viscous enough. Does this get automatic paper-in-oil cap mojo?

One of my day job projects was having trouble dealing with an overheating processor in a box, the mechanical team's joking solution was "seal the box and fill it with glycol." It was a joke, but it was looked into.

Speaking of odor, maybe @Sushi Box FX can make a few bucks making scented pedals using oil. I bet the heat of the tube would release some aroma.
The mini tubes definitely got hotter, but with a 12V supply you may be able to get a 12AX7 hot enough.

"Slow" afternoon monotous workload today. So I multi tasked and watched the pedal movie. Long movie but I probably extended it another hour with all the rewinds I did. Interesting stuff.
Yup, I bought it so I watched it for the third time last night :P I especially liked that it wasn't an advertisement per se, but it did encourage me to buy a couple pedals, the first of which showed up today. :bassist:

Though it's inevitable I'll get to watching it,I don't know it kinda sticks in my craw to pay for a video that'll probably prompt a couple of more purchases never mind all the ones I bought in the past.Reverb's made a good chunk of change on me as it is.And though it's non Verb related I'm already having gas over the SBVT!

1) what are they?
And
2)will there be a Sushi-ized version?
Two that I've wanted for a long time and forgot about:
EHX Iron Lung vocoder (seeing the original Talkbox reminded me I always wanted one)
Digitech Whammy

I did also get another pedal recently that will most likely get a Sushi version, but it wasn't as a result of watching the pedal movie.

SBVT has constantly been in the back of my mind for the past month, getting behind on the March batch just pushed April back a little, and with everything that happened with Westinghouse I just haven't gotten around to debugging it. I'm literally in the process of getting the last of the April batch packaged for shipping right now, then my main priority will be SBVT. I have I think 4 people in May that ordered a placeholder for it, I would love to finally give it to them.

Refresh my memory,
The SVBT, is going to be a preamp based on the SVT?
Correct.

:hyper: more tube pedals!
I don't want to spoil the surprise, but yes, this one is a tube pedal. Another generally well-designed tube pedal that uses the wrong tube in a box that's too big, if that gives you enough of a hint ;)

June reservations......1 spot left!
