The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

My Slam X just arrived. My wife wanted to talk about family and weather and local news stories so I had to stare at the box for half an hour. Loving it so far.

The only other pedals I have coming right now are a Resotron filter, a JC Emerald, Robot Butterfly, and Wrecking Ball X, and a Malaise Forever perc fuzz that was special made. I feel like it's important to balance pedal deliveries with other life priorities and I really want a Browne Protein so I am not sure how long I can put that off.

Maybe it's because I'm on IEMs with the Westinghouse and through an amp wouldn't be quite as big a deal, but I still think mine might be in the "Bells of the Sistine Chapel" category. It takes barely a tap to get it to ping pretty good like the recording I posted earlier in the thread. Which is disappointing, because I was really looking forward to the WH.

(sidenote because the Edison was mentioned: I didn't notice any of that microphonic noise when @Chace90 let me borrow his Edison. I didn't explore tapping on it, but I switched it back and forth a good bit during testing and didn't hear any popping/pinging.)

@Sushi Box FX - Once again, it seems like I might be the lone voice for returning my Westinghouse, but I simply can't chance put microphonics directly to the IEMs of everyone in the group(s) and from what you've said, that's just inherent in the EF86 tubes. I'll ping you via PM, I've got an idea for a solve. :)

Now that I'm finished with the April batch I'll be reaching out to everyone from the March batch to see who wants a new tube, a new board, both, or just a return. About half of the soviet 6J32P I tested last night were Sistine Chapel bell level, so I'm not surprised that some bad ones made it into the March batch as well.

Feel free to PM me, I'm always here for ideas. :)
