The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

Sorry I haven’t read the whole thread yet. Just checking in to ask if the Orange AD200B pedal is really real, and if the very reasonable price on the website is some sort of a cruel joke? Thanks.

Looking forward to getting myself caught up here soon! :)
I think the Mob has voted that you're only allowed to order it in the orange enclosure.

Speaking of, where's the orange knobs and orange LED to match @Sushi Box FX

Octopus on Reverb. No affiliation.
Yup, I remember that one. I think he's on this forum if I remember right? And if anyone is interested, if you buy a used Octopus and don't like the effects on it you can send it to me and have it reprogrammed. So if you want one I totally won't be offended if you pick up a used one.

That would be a pretty nasty joke :p Yup, totally real. I'm hoping to have the first two (only two in the October batch) boxed up in the next couple weeks so I can put real pictures up instead of 3D renderings of the circuit board.

I won't stop anyone from ordering a different color, but if I was ordering one personally I'd get it in orange as well :p

And I can get more knob colors than I have listed on the website, maybe I'll throw the rest on there sometime and see if anyone is interested. I can get an orange, but it's not like super orange. I don't want to do orange LEDs because orange LEDs behind tubes are usually there to artificially enhance the tube glow, so I don't want it to feel fake. That's why I like using colors that are clearly not normal tube glow colors.

Now that's some customer service! It's good to know you're not stuck with what's already on the pedal.

Good call! Didnt even think about orange-on-orange there. I GUESS since the tubes glow orange that's enough orange in the light department...

he’s taking preorders on the website now but there are a limited number of “slots” remaining. but yeah you can reserve one to be built in december now.
Yup, exactly this. After CATFISHMcC0Y's order there are currently 4 slots left for December builds. You guys are going to keep me busy for a while :P

On the Particle Accelerator, are the footswitches standard latching 3PDT? Or soft-momentary SPST to activate the FX/Bypass circuit.

Just thinking ahead to if I can toss an attiny + 6n137 chip and add midi on/off control... :bookworm:

Hey, that's my pedal on the [This invalid link has been removed] :bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist: cool!!

Also I'm looking at the Slampegg now and realizing the white finish isn't listed. I can imagine it being a hassle, but man, white finish & purple knobs is a seriously regal combo. I'd pay extra for premium finishes, just as I would for the custom knobs. ...just sayin'

Latching 3PDT. I've only ever done one pedal with SPST and relay switching, I used ATTiny85. It worked fine, but it was a whole thing to get it going

I actually have some gloss white powdercoat sitting in my garage, I never even opened it. There's no reason I couldn't offer it, just never thought to :P

Hrm! Okay okay... p'raps business needs to be arranged here haha

I just received an Sushibox Octopus from Reverb - I would have bought one new to support the man making them, but they weren't available (I hope me makes more, y'all need one). It's a fun box to play with, but the reason I'm writing this post is because of the reverb. It's good; I mean, really good. There are three reverbs programmed into this box, and I'm assuming it's a room reverb I'm commenting on (I have no idea what's actually programmed into this pedal), and I really like it. It's lush and warm and adds a shimmer that makes solos sound better. I have an Alexander Sky, which I've never been happy with, and the Octopus just kicked it off of the pedal board. This is my first impression after playing with it for a couple hours. I'm still messing with the tremolo and octave (it looks like octave up and down). Fun for sure; but again, the reverb is good enough for a stand alone pedal. Well done.

100% affiliated with this one (sorry for the super crappy pic !). It's a super sweet option to let his future owner decides if he keeps the Octopus like it or have some of them reprogrammed. As for the effects, messing to have the chorus sounding like i'd expect to but the other ones are super nice sounding.
