I'm partially doing it because it's cool and partially to judge how it handles use. It's an acrylic paint designed for art, it wasn't designed to be stepped on or kicked around onstage. I could throw a powdercoat over it to protect it, but obviously that would take away from the effect of the extreme darkness. We'll see how it goes, and I will of course post pictures of any and all experiments.

I'm curious what you're thinking for the labeling. I imagine anything you put on would look like it's floating in the air in the right conditions.

I was planning to UV print it, most likely red as I like the way the red pops against a black enclosure.

Do these Space Heaters in stock have the polarity protection on the power input, or is that bypassed for these units? if not, could you possibly do the bypass before it ships out?

If you aren’t setting the gain high enough to get the SH to break up, I find the More adds more of that three dimensional tube sound we all crave than the SH.

These have all been updated with the fix. Everything I've sold since mid August has had the fix on it and everything going forward will have it.

Brief October batch update: The last of my parts orders showed up today and I've been jumping in. I started working on HW board assembly last night and got all the Slampeggs and DWs soldered up, and I've been working through the enclosure milling process. I'm going to try to get all enclosures milled tonight, but it may have to wait until Sunday (I'm taking Saturday off as it's my wife's birthday).

It's too early to tell one way or the other, but I have every reason to expect that I will be finishing the October batch on time before the end of the month, which is ideal as I would prefer not to have to work on Halloween.

Super quick BLK 3.0 notes: the paint showed up today and I played with it very briefly. It doesn't stick at all to a bare aluminum enclosure, it just wipes right off. Back in my acrylic spraypaint days I used self-etching primer with good results, so I have a coat drying on a test enclosure in the garage, then I'll try again.

I did spread a little BLK 3.0 on a cardboard box just to see what it looked like, and at first it just looked like black paint, but after it dried it's noticeably blacker than black and matter than matte. Very interested to see what it looks like when applied more evenly over a large multi-dimensional surface.

Happy Birthday doctor! No better way to acknowledge one's b-day than by gifting one self a SushiboxFX product (or two).

I thought I was going to take a break from pedals for a while... and I will, after a More.

Me too. Except it is Thursday and my 52nd. I share with my middle son, so I haven’t had a Bday in 24 years.
