Touche! I'm just pissed off. I'm glad my kids are in bed sleeping. As a lifelong Celtics fan who has seen Russell play, I think the refs should have left the whistles in the pocket..... for both sides. I truly feel the Celts were underdogs in this one. They played a great game.... from a defensive perspective. Ray Allen, who I have the utmost respect for, couldn't hit a shot for the last three games. Kobe, is the best player these days, but MJ is still the best. I still hate the Fakers and will never waiver from that. Now, ken the F$^@(* Bruins win the F*&(^ Cup!

Russell has always been in my opinion the greatest player ever. Cs were def underdogs this series and couldnt pull the upset off. as for Kobe vs MJ thats a whole other thread but i disagree. Too bad all of your teams have had pretty horrible exits this year.

I'm glad the Lakers won. Although, after watching game 7 I'm not sure either team really deserved to win that game. It was awful.

at best you could call it an "epic defensive battle." in hindsight it really was a contest in futility: which team can stink it up a little less, and that's basically what happened.

i think both teams were 1. worn out from a long playoff run and a long/intense series and 2. playing on nerves and adrenaline. as physical as it was it could have been much uglier and chippier, but everyone pretty much kept their cool. in that sense it could have been uglier i suppose...
