The Temptation is Killing Me!!!

Well, I checked it out. It’s a mess. Horribly setup. Dead, dead strings. The action was pretty high and the G String Saddle was as low as it can go. It’d probably need a shim. Anyway, if you’re looking for a cosmetically sweet Roscoe LG3005 at a great price, it’s there. I’m gonna pass. No deathbed regrets here.
Wait, what?!? These are reasons to pass, you say? Price negotiation enablers say I, as they are easily remedied.

Glen Burnie, MD, I presume - looks like a nice bass, no $$ here - besides, I want another 7 string... :rollno:

I’m really, really trying to resist the urge to try out a used bass at my local GC. I’m really about ready to cave though….

Help me, my TB Friends!!! Help me resist!! :)

OKAY...
Just do what I do. Pretend - really hard - that you're left handed; and can't play right handed. Then, go to your local GC, and look at as many basses as you want. Then, shake your head sadly, and walk out empty handed. It works every time for me... except - I'm not pretending...

A couple of years back (maybe even a decade), everybody in my bass playing friends list was raving about the Warwick $$$ models with the huge dual humbuckers. I came by a store that had nearly a dozen of these beasts hanging there and I knew I had a big bonus coming up, so this was dangerous territory. I went in, inquired about the pricey Warwicks, was given a cable connected to a high class amp and a strap and left to my own devices with the lot of them.
Long story short: I hated them all.
Not a single one felt so good that I'd like to play a gig on them.

This time, I left without a purchase, but gained the knowledge that these basses are not for me.
