I’m really, really trying to resist the urge to try out a used bass at my local GC. I’m really about ready to cave though….
Help me, my TB Friends!!! Help me resist!!![]()

I regret not buying a bass that I was gassing over years ago. I remember thinking at the time, that If I bought that candy apple beauty, I would've named it Rosebud. If you don't try that bass, on your deathbed it may be the biggest regret of your life....never knowing if it was "The One". You may torture yourself by not knowing all the rest of the days of your life. Wait, you wanted us to talk you OUT of trying it?!?!?!?!?! Ok, that bass probably sucks.
Well, I checked it out. It’s a mess. Horribly setup. Dead, dead strings. The action was pretty high and the G String Saddle was as low as it can go. It’d probably need a shim. Anyway, if you’re looking for a cosmetically sweet Roscoe LG3005 at a great price, it’s there. I’m gonna pass. No deathbed regrets here.
Probably needs a shim? Thats skipping a few steps. Probably just needs a basic setup. If truss is operational that is.
