The Testosterone Toy Thread!

Dual 9.5 meter (yes, that's right -- METER) horns that were built into the floor of some insane guy in Britain.

A few of the subwoofer's sixteen 18" drivers:

Top of the sub, before installing the floor (note the two "horns" made of brick):

According to the site, they were able to achieve 10 Hz with no distortion, as the horns make use of the entire room to achieve such low end.

Built into the floor of a dedicated room (obviously):

According to the guy, the sub is so efficient that "Power needed no more than 6 watt/ch at max pressure level before ceiling seems to fall."

Cylinder deck (Each cylinder displaces 1820 liters):

Total engine weight: 2300 tons
Maximum power: 108,920 hp at 102 rpm
Maximum torque: 5,608,312 lb/ft at 102rpm

 Is that for a super tanker or just what? 5.6 MILLION pounds of torque. :)
EDIT: Guess you don't change the oil in that baby over the weekend in the garage. ;)

I use one of these at work a lot. It was built during the second world war and still runs as smooth or better than any newer lathe I've used. It's about 10 feet long, 3 feet wide and 4.5 feet tall.

It also has a matching manual mill that's the same colour (green) that works just as good called the Milwaukee, but I can't find any pictures.

WINNER WINNER WINNER

Oh the things I'd love to make on that....
