The Trace Elliot T-Bass Thread!

I picked one up off ebay early last year and thought it looked really sharp. It wasn't until I got it that I realized it was truly NOS. It must've hung in some music store for years then stashed in storage and was never played. There was patina on the frets between the strings! It took 3 turns with some cleaner to get the smoke gunk off the finish but it revealed perfect condition, no signs of any use at all. This bass came off the first run with a 0XX serial number and was in the original flight case. It is my favorite modern J. Here's a larger version of what's in my avatar.

Sorry to jump on what is quite an old thread. I've always loved the T-bass. This year I finally managed to find and buy one (in fact it is the exact bass that brought them to my attention in the first place!).

Mine is one of the special edition 5 string models from 1998, in a gorgeous candy apple red with matching headstock. Unfortunately it's seen a bit of a hard life and has some knocks but it's still a gorgeous bass to play, really smooth with a great punchy sound.

Hey guys

I’m new to this forum which I found on google.

I own a 5 string T-bass which is black and I believe is a 1996 model. It also has green SIMS LEDs in the dots along the top of the fretboard which the previous owner had installed.

I’m not looking to sell it but would anyone have an idea how much the bass would be worth?

Here is a photo of the bass (on the right) along with my Fender Jazz Bass, both of which I use regularly in my bands.
