Sorry about Misha. We lost Misha. He got a blood in his leg. It was a sad day. He was 13 and our last Texas cat.
On a happier note, we moved Johnnie in from the garage. He's a great cat. He walked up to the house one day and we brought him in.

You're running a catnip den?
I had to deal with ground squirrels (who look a lot like chipmunks; they're in the same family) in Flagstaff. They are prodigious tunnel diggers. I generally let them carry on until I started seeing the base layer of my cobblestone driveway start to show up at a couple of tunnel mouths. I said "so much for being a nice guy, live and let live" and sealed off all of the tunnel mouths except the highest one on the slope from my backyard into my front yard and flooded their tunnel system. Put an end to that problem, I did.Pretty much. I planted the nip to harvest for my own cats, but also to give the neighborhood cats a reason to hang out and munch the chipmunks. It doesn't work that well for reducing the chipmunk population, but everything helps.
