The Valenti Megathread (Mk. II)

Sweet pics and I still want to test drive that Valenti. Was that a church gig or band gig?

Church.
10 services- 3 days.
Band was SMOKIN' hot.

I just got a DVD of one of the services, the mix to DVD isn't the best, but everyone said the house was slammin.
I stepped out front in the house a few times and pulled my IEM's out and my Valenti sounded like a million bucks and a few cents! :bassist: (the room holds somewhere shy of 2000).

Nice pics. I'm afraid I'll never look as good as Mike.

Gigged the Valenti last fri and I'm deeper in lust than ever. Found that hard digging lost its voice, so I promptly tightened that neck up, raised the saddles a freckle and now she's in

" you cant hurt me muthaf - play it hard" mode. I am ususally a soft touch layer ( nbacking a vocalist), but I went insane on Sweet Child to see how well it took the hard and fast thing. Uh, bliss.

Bass takes a setup very, very well. I have no idea what "neck issues" the prior owner had, but she's straight and strong.

I've got to get up to your church as visit one day. That place looks awesome, at least from the pictures.:bassist:

For those interested, I basically asked Nino for a P-bass version of Valenti #35:

If Nino hadn't posted the pictures I would have. :bassist: I'm very happy with how it's coming out.

It will also have the old school pickup cover and be strung with flats. Exactly the kind of modern meets vintage that I wanted.

Oh man, that's turning out really nice, Jared! The trans blue looks great. Is that a Nordy pickup? If so, that's what Lakland's been using in the Glaub 5s they've built so far and the two guys I know who have one really dig it. (One uses flats, the other rounds.)
